Mini-Camps for Long Island Kids During the Holiday Break

This holiday season, kids will be getting a two-week reprieve from school. That means either two weeks of setting up play dates and activities to keep them occupied--or you can opt to sign your kids up for a holiday camp. If you're interested in the latter, we've compiled a few options for you.

M.A.T.S.S. Kids' Gym

M.A.T.S.S. Kids' Gym is offering a mini-camp to bridge the holiday weeks. Each day of mini-camp is a separate theme and kids will get four-hours of structured play and activities, along with lunch. Multi-day and sibling discounts are also available. For more information, call 561-496-7765.

Sport Time
Multiple Locations
Sport Time, which has locations in Quogue, Lynbrook, Amagansett, East Hampton, Syosset, Bethpage, Massapequa, Roslyn and Kings Park, offers several sports-related school-break camps, including ones that focus on fitness, tennis, basketball and more. Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum

The Whaling Museum is offering two camps during the break, including a Pirate & Mermaid Camp, which will run December 28, Penguin Camp on December 29 and a Polar Bear Camp on December 30. The camps run from 9:30am-1pm for grades K-3. Older kids can participate as crew leaders or counselors-in-training. Sibling discounts are available. For more information, call 631-367-3418.

School's Out Winter Camp
Center For Science Teaching And Learning CSTL

CSTL offers full-day programs during school vacations that gets kids involved in hands on science experiments and explorations. Children have the opportunity to explore 17 acres of nature, visit our live animals, conduct experiments, and take part in science shows and demonstrations conducted by our staff of professional science teachers. $55 per day/per child if registered 48hrs in advance of program $60 per day/per child if registering late or during the course of the program.

Port Washington Skating Center
70 Seaview Boulevard, Port Washington
The Port Washington Skating Center is holding a hockey camp over the break. The camp will run December 27 to December 31 from 10:45am to 12:45pm daily, and includes a pizza lunch and free admission to the 1pm skating session. The cost is $250 for five sessions or you can register daily for $60 per day.

Holiday Kids' Camps
The Little Gym

Long Island Aquarium
