2. LumiNature at the Zoo

Don't miss this spectacular winter event at the Philadelphia Zoo before it vanishes for the season. LumiNature fills children with a sense of wonder when big cats and peacocks come alive, flamingos flock together on a 25 foot tree, and all four seasons host their very own party, Strolling performers, hot chocolate, and adult beverages can be expected.

3. Blue Cross RiverRink Winter Fest 

Philadelphia
Through March 8, 2020
Grab your coat, gloves, and hat and head to the Blue Cross RiverRink's Winterfest as the rink is transformed into a winter wonderland. Guests can expect ice skating, outdoor seating with fire pits, warm cabins, arcade games, and plenty of delicious food and beverages.

4. Second Saturdays Family Series at Esperanza Arts Center

January 12, 2020
Esperanza Arts Center welcomes families to its Second Saturdays event. Each session features storytelling, movies, games, and fun. Doors open at 10 AM and event begins at 10:30 AM. January: Disney’s Coco *in Spanish (with English subtitles)

5. The Rock and Roll Playhouse Family Concert Series

January 12 and January 26, 2020
The Rock and Roll Playhouse is excited to present a family concert series featuring the music of world famous artists that both kids and grown ups alike can enjoy. Each concert showcases a different artist or band. This month, kids ar introduced to The Beatles (1/12) and The Grateful Dead (1/26).

6. Lunar New Year Festival

January 18, 2020
Visit the Penn Museum as it celebrates the Lunar New Year during this event. Guests can expect a wide variety of music, dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, workshops, arts, crafts, and more. The day concludes with the popular Grand Finale Lion Dance Parade.

7. Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival

New Hope
January 18-26, 2020
Over nine days, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities featured throughout New Hope during the annual Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival. Most activities are free and include things such as a Disney Jr. Frozen Adventure, Mad Scientist Slime Booth, canal and river walks, and house tours.

8. Fire & Ice Festival 

Mount Holly, NJ
January 25, 2020
Downtown Mt. Holly becomes a center of artistic activity and family fun for the day. Check out more than a dozen amateur and expert ice carvers, plus entertainment, a chili cook-off, and a cupcake decorating contest open to children and adults.

9. Kennett Chocolate Lovers Festival

January 26, 2020
Family and friends visiting the Kennett Chocolate Lovers Festival at Unionville High School can enjoy sampling a variety of chocolate treats, including cakes, brownies, candies, cookies and cupcakes. Guests can sample as many chocolate delights as desired- chocoholics of all ages are welcome.

10. jkidphilly: Little Hands Make a Big Difference: A Family Volunteer Experience

January 26, 2020
Held at Jewish Family and Children's Service, this event allows children to help those in need. Participants can pack health and safety kits with Jewish Relief Agency, braid challah with Challah for Hunger, and sort clothing with Our Closet a program of JFCS. Participants are asked to bring clothing donations and a few extra coins to donate to the organization of your choice.
