Celebrate Halloween with these spooktacular events throughout Long Island this weekend. From pumpkin farms to trick or treating, fall festivals and more, these family friendly activities won't be receiving any boos from your crowd.

All Weekend

Spooky Fest – Rockville Centre. At Center For Science Teaching And Learning. Wooded paths, exhibits, and festivities on the preserve will be featured, with eerie lighting, special effects, and characters along the way. Everything is perfectly spooky and a little scary. Creatures of all kinds inhabit the woods, the strange and beautiful will draw you into the eerie paths. Cost: $10 for kids 8 years and under, $15 for ages 9 years and older.

Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns – Old Westbury. All-ages nighttime Halloween event that features 5,000 hand-carved jack o’lanterns. Rain or shine. Offered through Nov. 2. Cost: $18-28.

Otto the Ghost’s Animated Story– Westbury. At Hicks Nurseries. Cost: Free.

Messy Afternoons at LICM – Garden City. At the Long Island Children's Museum. Cost: Free with museum admission.

Explorer Family Backpacks– Hempstead. At the Hofstra University Museum. Pick up a backpack and discover the beauty of the world's cultures through specific works displayed in the gallery, create your own keepsake artworks to bring home, for children ages 5-10. Cost: Free.

Operation Candy Buy Back– Merrick. At Silverman & Associates University Dental Family Dentistry. Up to 10 lbs at $1 per pound. Cost: Free to attend.

Gorgeous Gobstoppers– Port Jefferson. At the The Maritime Explorium. Deconstruct candy to reveal the marvels of science. Cost: $5 per person.

Trick or Treat - Huntington. At the Heckscher Museum of Art. Arrive in costume to trick or treat and do an activity. Cost: Free to families who arrive in costume.

Tanger Outlets Trick or Treating - Deer Park. All stores with a Halloween decal will be handing out candy to trick or treaters. Cost: Free.

Halloween Festival at Stony Brook Center - Stony Brook. Local merchants will be offering trick or treating, a costume parade, scarecrow display and each child gets a free mini pumpkin.

Trick or Treating at Smith Haven Mall - Smithtown. Participating retailers will be handing out treats. Cost: Free.

Trick or Treating in Westhampton Beach - Westhampton Beach. Main Street will be open to trick or treaters but closed to traffic between Mill Road and Mitchell Road. Cost: Free.

Trick or Treating in Islip - Islip. Kids can trick or treat at local businesses after hearing a spooky story at Islip Town Hall. Cost: Free.

Sunset Wagon Ride - Yaphank. At the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center. Wagon ride, pumpkin picking, corn maze, animals, campfire and more. Cost: $10 per person over age 2.

Craft ;- New Hyde Park. Kids can create a free craft at the Lakeshore Learning Store. Cost: Free.

Science Saturdays - Riverhead. Play and explore at The Long Island Science Center. Cost: $5/person.

Grown Up & Me Yoga (Ages 3-5) – Bellmore. Ages 3-5 with caregiver. Cost: 15.

Girl Scout Rocket Launch – Garden City. At the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Girl Scouts of all levels can participate in building their own rocket launch. Cost: $$17-24.

Bats, Barnacles & Broomsticks – Halloween Party – Riverhead. At the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center. 50% off admission when dressed in costumer. Trick or treating throughout the Aquarium.

Halloween Family Fun Fest – Merrick. At Calhoun High School. Kid-friendly activities, costumed event. Cost: $5/ticket.

Dia De Los Muertos at LICM – Garden City. At Long Island Children's Museum. Celebrate Dia de los Musertos by learning about the costumes and creating a sugar skull to commemorate the event. Cost: Free with museum admission.

Harvest Hoedown with Katie's Puppets – Calverton. At Lyrical Children's Preschool & Learning Center. Bring leftover candy to use for some art and science fun. Puppet show. Cost: $12/advance, $15 at the door. Siblings are $5.

Eat Drink & Be Scary Family Brunch – Riverhead. At Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center. Various Halloween-themed brunch stations. Cash bar available. Cost: $29.95/adults, $19.95/kid.

Magic Carpet Show – East Meadow. At Tricky Business, a magic and music show. Cost: $5/ticket.

Long Island Chocolate Festival – Sayville. At the Long Island Sportsplex. All things chocolate. $10/ticket. Children under age 2 are free.

Bellmore Jewish Center Kids Day – Bellmore. At Bellmore Jewish Center. Hand and face painting, character meet and greet, free popcorn, cotton candy, juice boxes, 45-min interactive children's musical. Cost: Children under age 2 are free, children ages 2-12 $20, children ages 13-17 $15, adults $10.
