This weekend is filled with pumpkins, apples, and street art. Get a head start on all things Halloween by checking out the Pumpkin Fest in Yaphank. It's still apple picking season and there's a festival that celebrates the crisp red fruit in Amityville. Participate in a community art making celebration at the Westbury Street Fair. In the mood to learn about all things baby? Check out the Expecting Parents & Baby Expo at the Hilton Long Island. Pumpkin Fest - Yaphank
Celebrate the fall season at the Suffolk County Farm & Education Center. This festival, which is now in its 28th year, boasts wagon rides, live music, pumpkin decorating, carnival games, a corn maze, pumpkin picking, pony rides, a seed spitting contest, 4-H project displays, and a performance by the Spirit of Long Island Mounted Drill Team.

Fall Into Fun Carnival - Mt. Sinai
Head over to Heritage Trust for this fall festival, which features carnival rides, international food, and games.

Super Science Focus: Who Ate The Cookies - Port Jefferson
At The Maritime Explorium, put those sleuthing skills to the test and solve a whodunnit using forensic science.

Amityville Apple Fest - Amityville
Apple picking season typically lasts until late October. There's no better way to celebrate nature's bounty than by attending this festival at the Park Avenue Memorial Elementary School. Featuring live music, a magician, classic car show, pumpkin patch, craft area, antique sale, and dance performances. While there, don't forget to buy some apples.

Westbury Street Fair With Street Mosaic - Westbury
Head over to Post Avenue to put those sidewalk chalk skills to the test. The community is invited to paint a panel of the street with chalk. While there, enjoy live entertainment, food, and an array of vendors.

Custom Made Cookies - Garden City
It's time to get cooking at the Long Island Children's Museum. Mix up a bunch of dry ingredients and choose from a variety of add-ins. Get additional ingredients to take home and bake a mini batch of cookies. While there, make a day out of it and enjoy all that the museum has to offer.

The Littlest Witch - East Islip
At the Bayway Arts Center, celebrate the opening weekend of this performance, which tells the tale of a mischievous little witch who mixes up her holiday with every other season but her own.

Expecting Parents & Baby Expo - Melville
The Hilton Long Island hosts this festival for new and expecting parents. Get answers to a variety of parenting questions through educational seminars and exhibits. Learn all about fertility, adoption, breastfeeding, post-partum depression, daycare and preschools, employment rights, childproofing the home, and saving for college.

Portraits & Poetry: NCMA Celebrates Families - Roslyn Harbor
Gather up the family and celebrate that special bond at the Nassau County Museum of Art. A professional photographer is on hand to capture the moment, and to send families home with a framed portrait. Create collages and poems that celebrate the uniqueness of the family unit, and share them with others at the museum.

Fall Festival - Bay Shore
Stop by the Sagtikos Manor for this fall festival, which boasts crafts, games, a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin painting, historic presentations and demonstrations, country dancing, and cemetery tours.
