Main Street Holiday Celebrations Around Long Island

There are several towns and villages around Long Island kicking holiday cheer up a notch with Main Street or Downtown celebrations. With horse-drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate, and Santa Claus sightings, the entire family will really get a kick out of these events.

Huntington Village Holiday Parade & Festival
November 28, 2015, 6pm
Main Street, Huntington
Parade, tree lighting, caroling, floats, free shuttles, free horse and buggy rides and more. New this year: Vote in the Gingerbread House contest.

Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Extravaganza
December 4, 2015, 6pm-8pm
Bellmore Village, corner of Bedford & Pettit Aves.
In addition to the tree lighting and Santa visit, guests can enjoy trolley rides and horse drawn carriage rides for $5/each. A Live Nativity will also be on display.

In addition to the tree lighting ceremony festivities – which include signing, crafts, hot chocolate, cookies and raffles--and for the first time, ice skating in the Plaza.

Main Street, Riverhead

Join the community for a holiday bonfire along the Peconic Riverfront.
