All Weekend

Our Lady of Lourdes Italian Feast - West Islip. Rides, games, Italian food.

Long Island Family Festival - Copiague. Games, rides, food, live music, pet expo, crafts, fashion show, balloon twisters, skate jam, cruise show and more.

Farmingdale Village Downtown Music Festival - Farmingdale.
Kids Zone, Kids Stage including I Love Reading & Magic, Very Cool Music School and School of Rock performances. Free.

Bellmore Family Street Festival - Bellmore. Craft expo, kids expo, sports expo, home improvements, carnival rides and games, local business booths, radio booths, food and more.

Garlic Festival - Riverhead. At Garden of Eve, this festival features vendors of garlic inspired foods, crafts, music and just plain garlic to eat and plant. Kids can enjoy the children's games and play equipment, pumpkin picking, pony rides, hay rides, and animals to see and feed.

Queens County Fair - Floral Park. At the Queens County Farm, this traditional county fair with blue ribbon prizes, livestock, produce, crafts and more. Additional admission for maze, carnival rides and games.

Fall Festival - Westbury. Various live animals, Otto the Ghost, crafts, demonstrations and more at Hicks Nurseries.

Whip Up The Wind - Port Jefferson. At the Maritime Explorium, measure the wind speed with simple machines, and construct your own anemometer to measure the wind speed on their deck.

Weekend Workshops - Sayville. Drop into Mini Monet for a different art project each weekend. Call first to make sure a private party isn't ongoing.

Saturday, September 19

Anniversary Bash - Amityville. At Darlings & Divas, this anniversary party to celebrate their 5th anniversary will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Suffolk County. Free mini-manicures and cupcakes, glitter tattoos and goodie bags.

Snapper Derby - Riverhead. Kids ages 5+ can fish for snappers to win this derby contest.

Craft & Book Reading - New Hyde Park. At The Lanyard Ladies, meet author Stephanie Sorkin, enjoy a book read, cupcakes, face painting, crafts, raffles and more. Free T-shirt for the first 50 attendees.

Meet Children's Authors - Port Washington. Meet children authors Virginia Amoscato Kim Cunniffe Trace Wilkins Francis Abbe Reichman and enjoy listening to their new books. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

 

Sunday, September 20

25th Annual Long Island Apple Festival - East Setauket. At the Sherwood-Jayne Farm, the whole family will enjoy a host of activities including old-fashioned games like apple relay races, tug-o-war, and apple-head doll making. Free.

Kidsfest - Old Westbury. At Old Westbury Gardens, a high-energy performance by Danny Weinkauf and his Red Pants Band.

Cancer Center for Kids 5K Kids and Family Walk - East Meadow. A half-mile kids fun run and 5K for adults. Post race raffles, refreshments, bagels music and activities for children.

The Kulanu Mile - Valley Stream. One mile run/walk to benefit programs for families and children with special needs.

Family Sundays at the Museum - Roslyn. Families can attend a day of festivities and activities at the Nassau County Museum of Art.

Seatuck Family Nature Club - Islip.These programs will be geared around the current season and include topics such as seasonal birds, tremendous trees and signs of the season. Free.
