Weekend Fun for LI Kids: Tulip Fest, PortFest, Fleece & Fiber Fair, May 16-17

There's plenty to do both indoors and out this weekend. Head to the East End for the Tulip Fest at Garden of Eve or the Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair at the Hallockville Museum. Meet some live Disney characters at the Smith Haven Mall or hit the Nassau County Museum of Art for Family Sundays.

Tulip Fest - Riverhead. Celebrate spring at Garden of Eve this weekend at the Tulip Fest. Crafts, food vendors, hay rides, baby animals and more.

Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair - Riverhead. Animal displays, sheep herding, llama obstacle course, sheep shearing, arts, vendors and more at the Hallockville Museum & Farm.

Barnyard Babies - East Setauket. An introduction for kids about baby animals at Benner's Farm.

Meet Donald & Daisy Duck - Lake Grove. Meet the Disney characters at Smith Haven Mall. Free

Rapunzel! Rapunzel! - Greenvale. At the Tilles Center, watch this fairy tale come to live on stage.

Ballet Cat: The Totally Secret Secret Storytime - East Northport. Picture features Ballet Cat book. Free

Home for the Animals - East Setauket. It's nesting season. Try to imitate their work by creating a nest and exploring at Sherwood-Jayne Farm.

Sunday, May 17

A Balancing Act - Garden City. At the Long Island Children's Museum, kids can find out what makes thing go fast or slow. 

East Woods School Spring Fair - Oyster Bay. Vendors, plants, gourmet food trucks and carnival rides and games.

Sunday Kids Clubs - East Hampton. Visit Hampton Kids for a mini camp on Sundays. Snacks, arts, lunch, games and bouncy houses.

Family Sundays at the Museum - Roslyn. Families can attend a day of festivities and activities at the Nassau County Museum of Art.

Seatuck Family Nature Club - Islip. These programs will be geared around the current season and include topics such as seasonal birds, tremendous trees and signs of the season. Free
