Thanksgiving Day Runs on Long Island
Turkey trots are a great way to spend the morning on Thanksgiving, whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to run (or walk) for fun. And most of them are open to all ages, or feature a "fun run" just for the tots. If you are not trapped in the kitchen waiting for the bird to cook--or if you are, but want everyone else out from under foot--get the family out to work off those calories in advance to make room for the feast to come. And be sure to check out our Long Island Fun Guide for lots of other activities in the area, as well as our Long Island Events Calendar.
