Visionary Worlds, Inspired by Gertrude “Ma” Rainey
Gertrude “Ma” Rainey belonged to one of the first generations of Black women with the freedom to travel—often coming on stage with a suitcase. Create your own suitcase diorama of a place you dream of going to or a whole new world of the future.

Ella Fitzgerald: Microphone Making
Ella Fitzgerald, also known as The First Lady of Song, was a popular jazz singer known for her flexible, wide-ranging, accurate and ageless voice. Create cardboard tube jazz microphones and sing along to sultry ballads, sweet jazz and imitate the sounds of instruments in an orchestra!
