Visiting Haunted House of Hamburgers with Kids
Haunted House of Hamburgers is a whole scene before you even set foot inside, so be sure to give your boo crew ample time before or after your reservation. A fully decorated cemetery on the front lawn lets patrons meander while stopping to marvel at the animatronics or take a selfie with a larger-than-life Halloween creature.
While the decor is not gory or super frightening, little ones might become skittish with the lights, sounds, and movement, so I recommend keeping them close. Be sure to snap a pic with the burger-loving Frankenstein on your way in, because it's definitely Insta-worthy.
I mentioned a reservation above because this holiday hot spot is all the rage, whether we're in the holiday season or not. In fact, the owner told us that lines have wrapped around the corner, so be sure to visit early, perhaps even on a weekday, and make a reservation (via Yelp or the restaurant's website).
From the floors to the walls to the ceilings, the Haunted House of Hamburgers is both a culinary and visual delight. Black lighting and neon accents lend a spooky vibe. Projected ghosts and interactive wall features really make it an unforgettable dining experience.
I don't think we've ever told readers to make sure they check out the bathroom at a restaurant–but here we are! Spoiler alert: there are black toilets shaped like skulls. I opted out of a selfie here, but my teen son snapped one.
No matter what you order, the presentation at Haunted House of Hamburgers is on-theme!
Younger kids can order from the Little Haunters menu (served in a coffin), while parents can indulge in burgers, salads, flatbreads, and signature cauldron cocktails—all under eerie, glowing lights. We started with the Three-Headed Monster, our choice of three shareable appetizers, the Freaky French Onion Soup (served in a cauldron), and Halloween-themed mocktails that were gurgling, glowing, and green and served in skulls and goblets!
The main course selections were ample, and we opted for the Monster Mac & Cheeseburger and the Growling Grilled Chicken, accompanied by a side of Vampire Bat Wings in a spicy ghost sauce. The sauce is so pungent that the menu actually states that it doesn't give refunds! But my crew took the wings down like actual ghouls, unfazed by the heat.
Both the curly fries and sweet potato fries were equally loved by our table, fried to perfection, and with plenty to share. Bellies full and eyes still wide with wonder at the decor, we forged on for dessert, building our own sundae with three heaping scoops of ice cream over a warm brownie, mini Reese's peanut butter cups, drizzled gooey caramel, and whipped cream.
The experience is so unique here that you might want to consider taking home a souvenir. From custom-branded merch like sweatshirts and hats to the skull glassware, ask your server for a price list of items. And if you're looking to host a private event or birthday party here, please submit an inquiry through the website to check availability and receive a quote.
Haunted House of Hamburgers isn't just a seasonal pop-up. You can celebrate spooky season all year long here.
